![]() ![]() Budgeting gives some sustain, steal gives a slightly larger hand, arm is also nice when you have alot of military cards, but what you really want is rally+leadership combo. The passive lets you pick things other than house, and if you can't get rally, then a hand full of military will do. General does well with a large deck full of military cards, unlike the other leaders. Originally posted by flex:I would rate general above builder. I guess I just didn't had much success with General or Mining Card, the feeling of being overpowered and unstoppable with Merchant led to me place him at 1st place. I had few game which I use Merchant and had 2 card that boost all building speed by 2x / 3x when upgraded, by that time everything(barrack, market, etc.) just ready in around 10 second, keep upgrade/ duplicate Royal Guard and basically kill the final boss in under 1 second when the unit start hitting. I had General skill up to lv 13 at one game, but the enemy at around 27 steam-rolled my unit even though I was basically doing super fine until then, the mass AoE just too much to take on. I don't have much success with mining card, either I didn't get it early, or I don't get it at all, I had one game where I got mining running, but due to bad rng I didn't get any good card, but I guess that'll kill you no matter what you play. Originally posted by Reaper:I rank Merchant as 3rd because if you got Mining card, you can do the same thing. And until you unlock more cards *(in otherwords NOT strictly a beginner), Merchant can have some problems too, so I'd have swapped those 2 around :) Only won because of re-use battle-cry using certain strats, I agree with your order.įor new players who don't know combos and strats, I felt that the General was the best. *One of the developers actually mentioned that they wanted the game to be played with more than one or 2 strats.*Īnd what of games where you don't ever get the opportunity to nab X card/s? *(I rarely get mining cards pop up, and my worst one was with No mining/barracks/longbowrat/reinforce/thorn/monastary. use mining), and really makes it feel like you should disregard other strats. However this shoehorns you into certain strats/mindsets *(use small decks. ![]() Small decks seems to be a common suggestion for winning the game, but I think you've touched a more accurate description of what's going on.Ĭertain Cards are super powerful and if you use them over and over, or in a certain combo, you can get devastating results. You're shoehorned into very specific playstyles/cardsets and it's hard to imagine nightmare difficulty not being trivial. ![]() Personally, I feel that the broken OP stuff isn't good for the longevity of the game. I've seen a korean streamer use stacked reuse to reinforce a wall to 60k hp in one go, and stacked reuse to attack for 240 damage per click. Originally posted by flex:Merchant skill goes infinite gold much faster than mining does (and doesn't take a card), and even without barracks, there's still reinforce+repair+thornwall and reuse+dmgspell. Alchemy is nice but time is a resources that you have to use carefully if you want to survive the Rattropolis. Science is last because his active is too niche to be use at all. If you have a bunch of barracks and a decent tax (around 30), you can win the game while infinite gold without army scaling cannot. Also, Eco is not as important as having Barracks. Merchant is third because Mining card is the number one go to. The active doesn't scale as much as General but getting more chance to get important building is so good that the disadvantage can be ignore. It might not seem much at first glance but having your building die because they are near the border is how you lost the game. ![]() Keeping a low deck count(so that your hand will always have the card you want to buff) will enable him to clear the game without any problem.īuilder is second because his upgrade let you build thing in safer location. General is first because his leader skill scale without any requirement. I rank Merchant as 3rd because if you got Mining card, you can do the same thing. ![]()
